Welcome to your weekly scooop of street art, opps, events, and media curated by the BE team. Since 2012, Beautify Earth has produced, promoted, and advocated for art on the streets through local art productions, networks, and media. Header art by Sian Storey.
Dip into Polo & Pan's recently released album, 22:22, while browsing through this week's street art news. "The Parisian duo of Paul Armand-Delille (Polo) and Alexandre Grynszpan (Pan) make music that flicks like frames through Golden Era Hollywood films, delivered with a deft French touch that playfully imbues house, disco, and electro in service one of the most compelling acts in dance music right now."
Local artist Sian Storey joined Blue Robotics and Beautify Earth at the bi-annual Ocean Business conference in Southampton, UK to paint one of two murals connecting ocean art to technology. This piece is part of a series of work titled 'Ionian Bay.' This mural is part of the Blue Earth Street Art program that supports mural and street artists critically exploring marine ecosystems and technology.
Interested in getting involved in future Blue Earth Street Art projects? If you're an artist, sponsor, or building owner with an interest in marine ecosystems and technology get in touch at hello@beautifyearth.com.

by Lamonica Curator, Substack -- "Critical thinking involves breaking things down into possible approaches, testing them and finding our coherent answers. This journey—even when it leads to uncomfortable or unexpected conclusions—is where real value lies. So why not practice on art? By teaching ourselves to look at art critically, we cultivate the skills to look at life critically." Read the full article at the link above.
by Ariel Parrella-Aureli, Block Club Chicago -- Friends and family of Dont Fret are remembering him as a loving, humorous and helping hand who enjoyed soccer, fishing and sausages — all reflected in his work.

by Medellin Street Art Festival -- Watch this year's festival come to life through behind the scenes footage, interviews, and shots of the murals.
by Ursula K. Le Guin -- The Dispossessed explores the tension between individual freedom and social responsibility, examining the impact of ideology on personal and collective life.
