This mural is part of the Blue Earth Street Art program that supports mural and street artists critically exploring marine ecosystems and technology.

Born in the Midland town of Stafford, England, I began my artistic career at the age of 16 specializing in architectural illustration and landscape painting. Stafford is an ancient town nestled in the lowlands of the North Midlands and surrounded by farmland and moor land. Mist covered pastures in the fall, dramatic scenery of the Pennine Hills and a pastoral rolling landscape with features centuries old, were constant sources of inspiration for me. After several years as a fine artist and illustrator, I returned to education in 1992 at the Exeter Faculty of Arts and Design in southern England.In 1994, I moved to the United States and travelled extensively during the first few years. I was dazzled by the enormous contrasts in the landscapes across the country -- the beauty of the changing seasons against the never ending and ever changing landscape. I Moved to Seattle in 2000 with my family and to Edmonds in 2002. I am inspired by drama in nature and contrasts in light and form. I am fascinated by atmosphere, light and weather and the moods they create. This country and especially this region is blessed to have such a wealth of inspiration.

The 18 panels will be auctioned off in September, with Artists keeping 50% of winning bid. The weekend of May 17-18 will also include Artist & Vendor Booths, Food Trucks, and other festivities."

Multi-Stories 2025 will once again transform Westquay’s multi-storey car park into a bold and vibrant urban art gallery on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May. Inspired by the idea that “we have more in common than sets us apart”, the festival links murals from previous years on Levels 1–3 and 7–9 with striking new works on Levels 4–6. Expect breathtaking new murals, live painting by top street artists, and a packed programme of creative activities — including interactive workshops, street performances, DJs, skateboarding, dance, and the return of the South Coast Makers Market.

by Helen Stoilas, The Art Newspaper -- “Without seed support by the NEA, many states, cities and towns would struggle to secure the additional public or private funds that enable them to deliver programmes that serve their constituents,” notes a collective letter published on Tuesday (6 May) by the six US Regional Arts Organizations (USRAO), which work with local arts agencies and non-profits. “And sadly it is rural communities, which often lack access to private funding sources, who will be disproportionately impacted by a loss of NEA funding and will lose the power to shape their own cultural infrastructure.”
