Beautify launched a rollout of five murals for the rerelease in the summer of 2015. The artwork in each city was created by various artists, with each of their own individual interpretation of the band’s Waterfall album cover. The cover illustration depicts Vernal Fall in Yosemite National Park, but the band's Kentucky home ground is known for many waterfalls of its own.

The murals were painted in Chicago, Nashville, New York, Los Angeles and Louisville as part of the band’s Waterfall Project, an ongoing environmental philanthropy effort.

Artist Chris Chappell's work won Louisville Mural of the year. Beautify was proud to have worked in collaboration with all of the artists on this multi-city initiative.

Our online platform removes the friction from the process, making it easy for brands like Capitol to find and work with professional street artists. As both a muralist and a software product manager, I founded Beautify to connect people who want great art with the professional artists who create it.

Mayor Greg Fischer said, “It’s exciting to have this local art inspired by the latest project of MMJ, who have given the world such great music over the years and have been world ambassadors from Louisville while staying true to their hometown roots. It’s also great to have this artwork in historic Portland, which is being reborn and is so near to where one of nature’s most impressive waterfalls that led to the creation of our city.”
